Whether in Israel, on the Old Gleisberg or in Arabia, archaeologists from the University of Jena are carrying out a variety of excavation projects. In lectures, guided tours and presentations, we provide an insight into the latest finds and findings.

Archaeological field projects at the University of Jena explore the diversity of human cultures over a great temporal depth and in very different regions of the world. In three lectures we present examples of current excavation projects. A guided tour through the collection of prehistory and early history and a presentation of 3D models of archaeological finds complete the overview of archaeological research at the University of Jena. There will also be fun and games for children. Please note the following times and details of the rooms:
