In our materials testing laboratory, you and your children can find out what's inside your egg before you even unpack it.

Components and welded joints are tested and researched in the materials testing laboratory at ifw Jena. For the Long Night of Science, we are making our research X-ray facilities available to you: At ifw Jena, you and your children can examine various surprise eggs in the X-ray facilities. Because if you knew what was inside, you could choose your surprise egg much more carefully - and then take the right one home with you.

Of course, you can also have other things examined in our X-ray facility. If you've always wanted to know what the inside of your household items look like, bring along the things you'd like to have X-rayed. Please note that digital devices such as cell phones, laptops or hard disks can be damaged during the X-ray examination!
