Jenoptik supports municipalities and communities worldwide to increase road safety. The goal is "Vision Zero" - in other words, no more people losing their lives in road traffic. Various types of systems ensure this, for example for speed measurement. Speeding is still one of the main causes of accidents and fatalities on the roads. But other patterns of behavior or distractions can also quickly become dangerous, such asusing a cell phone at the wheelor not fastening seat belts.
At the LNDW Jena, we will show you how we can detect and document these behavioral patterns in the car - thanks to Jenoptik technology that has already proven itself in other countries, for example in Australia.
Noise is also an underestimated danger in road traffic, especially in urban areas, as it can have short and long-term consequences for health. Vehicles with correspondingly modified exhaust systems affect many people not only in their personal perception. In addition to health problems, noise can also have a negative impact on emissions and sustainability. In order to identify these cars on the road, we have developed a noise detection system, which we will be presenting at the LNDW.
PS: To raise awareness of distracted and dangerous driving, at the LNDW Jena we are again offering you the chance to get a speed camera photo without a fine in the Ernst Abbe high-rise buildingin the city center - combined with the wish to pay more attention in traffic and to be considerate for the benefit of all road users.
