Thermographic cameras measure how temperatures are distributed on surfaces in the infrared range. In the event of a fire, mobile thermal imaging cameras also enable the fire department and rescue services to maintain an overview at all times: The infrared technology still provides clear images of the operational environment even in complete darkness and dense smoke, enabling orientation and the detection of hidden pockets of embers.
