Notes on job filling procedures
So that you are always informed about our current vacancies, we invite you to regularly take a look at our Job exchange regularly. Please only apply for advertised positions. We cannot consider unsolicited applications.Applications that do not relate to a current vacancy will be destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations.
We shortlist applicants who meet the requirements profile. This applies in particular to the educational background(s), personal requirements and professional experience required in the advertisement.
We do not keep your application documents for later job filling procedures. If you are interested in another vacancy, please apply again.
Application by mail or e-mail
In order to ensure a quick, simple and cost-effective procedure, we kindly ask you to apply preferably by e-mail at bewerbungen@jena.de. Attachments to e-mail applications can only be accepted in PDF format (max. 5 MB). Other formats will not be processed due to the potential risk of viruses. Consequently, the application will be rejected.

If you apply by post, please do not submit any original documents and do not use any folders or binders. If you enclose a sufficiently stamped and addressed DIN A4 envelope, we will gladly return your application documents to you. Otherwise, the documents will be destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations after completion of the respective selection procedure.
Application documents to be submitted
Personal and quick contact with our applicants is important to us. Therefore, in addition to the cover letter and CV, we ask you to include an e-mail address and telephone number in your application. If you provide us with this information, we assume that you agree to us contacting you in this way.
Please enclose with your application copies of certificates of service or employment, appraisals and, if applicable, references, which should not be older than three years. If the relevant evidence of suitability, ability and professional performance is not available, we regret that we will not be able to consideryou in the selection procedure.
Pay and remuneration
In the event of a vacancy being filled, employees are paid in accordance with the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD). Civil servants are paid according to the Thuringian Salary Act (ThürBesG). The current pay and salary tables can be found on the Internet.
Notes on the assumption of costs
Please note that any application costs incurred (e.g. for participation in aptitude tests or interviews) will not be reimbursed.
Procedure and duration of the application process
- First, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of your application.
- After the application deadline, all applications will be reviewed and a decision will be made as to which applicants meet the requirements profile and are shortlisted.
- Shortlisted applicants will have the opportunity to present themselves in a personal interview.
- Once the procedure has been completed, all applicants will be informed of the decision.
The duration of the procedure depends on various factors, so it is unfortunately not possible to make a general statement on the timeframe. Efficient procedures are also in our interest.
