The power of infrared (IR) lasers enables the locally precise processing of a wide variety of materials.

The focused laser beam can be used, for example, to create microstructures, gradually remove surface layers, vaporize dirt and impurities or even initiate the bonding of chemicals. We will demonstrate exactly what happens during these processes and the wide range of possible applications on site and create small souvenirs that you can take home with you.

Also: Stamp rally in Göschwitz

If you get to know at least 5 of the 14 participating institutes and companies and secure a stamp there, you will receive a small gift at the end of the discovery tour - also from us!

Please note:

  • Participation is voluntary and free of charge.
  • The small gift is only available on November 22 on presentation of the stamp card (while stocks last).
  • No cash payment possible.

We bring Göschwitz to light!

Note
Take part in our hourly laboratory tours and take a look at the research focuses of our other departments!
Restriction
Laboratory tours take place in small groups
