Guided tour of the North Cemetery

On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, a cultural and cemetery history tour will take place at the Jena North Cemetery.
If you are interested, please arrive at the flower store, hufelandweg 4, shortly before 5 pm.

The tour will be led by cultural scientist Dr. Barbara Happe (lecturer at the FSU's Department of Folklore) and cemetery manager Bertram Flößner. During the two-hour tour, the changes in cemetery and burial culture from the end of the 19th century to the present day will be explained at the northern cemetery, which covers over 20 hectares. Participation is free of charge.
