Now it's getting dangerous! Tesla transformer: The mega flashes

Mega-bits are generated with a Tesla transformer.

A Tesla transformer is a transformer named after its inventor Nikola Tesla for generating high-frequency alternating currents with very high voltage; up to several megavolts are possible.

Mains voltage of 230V/50HZ is applied in the transformer. The flashovers of the spark gap are visible as small flashes of light; the discharge of the Tesla coil into the air manifests itself in light blue to purple flashes at the upper, "hot" end of the secondary inductance.
