Timber sales

Thanks to forest maintenance and traffic safety measures, we can provide regional coniferous and deciduous wood for sale as firewood.

You can collect the ordered wood from us or have it delivered within Jena.
You also have the option of processing trees that have already been felled yourself and transporting the wood out of the forest yourself (self-cutting). To do this, you must be in possession of a chainsaw license.

Good to know

The volume of wood is specified with different dimensions. Depending on the type of stacking, a distinction is made between solid cubic meters (fm), cubic meters (rm) and bulk cubic meters (srm):

A solid cubic meter corresponds to a solid block of wood without air spaces, i.e. one cubic meter of solid wood mass.

One cubic meter corresponds to one cubic meter of stacked logs including a few air spaces. The solid wood mass is approximately 0.7 cubic meters.

One bulk cubic meter corresponds to one cubic meter of piled billets including larger air spaces. The solid wood mass is approximately 0.4 m³.
