Arrival and residency
When you move to Jena from abroad to work here, different entry and visa regulations apply. The regulations are based on your origin or your current residence title. You may need a visa to enter Germany – depending on your country of origin. The Welcome Center team recommends that you use the “Quick Check” of the “Make it in Germany” portal in advance to check your options for working in Germany

The portal “Make it in Germany” shows you possible visa types and the required documents. For the subsequent longer-term stay, there are other residence titles.
